With the introduction, in the first 12 weeks of semester 1, to specific architectural methodologies for developing concepts, form and communication strategies, as well as investigating three architectural conditions of 'Density, Nomadic and Systems', the studio implemented those methodologies and conditions into a project to design a small, 'kiosk' type building. The students were given one of five programs from which to design for.   They were an Internet Café, Bike Repair & Parking, Emissions Test Center, Urban Storage & Restrooms, Recycle Center, and News Stand.
