| For my project, I decided to focus on the area of Prizor Hill in Upham, New Mexico. My keywords going into my research were proximity and landscape. While out on site, I realized that Pirzor Hill was the only thing that allowed my to determine my proximity to anything out there in the desert. And, I realized that it was because it was acting like a natural landmark for me to determine my location in relation to other things. So, I decided that i wanted my design to be a "man-made natural landmark." I also wanted my design to immitate a landscape, and be located adjacent to Prizor Hil, acting as an extension of the Hill. But, I decided that it would be a blunt connection to the hill, thus symbolizing the destinct line between natual and man-made things. | Vanessa Garcia |
